We are Salon, the UK’s longest established editing equipment hire company celebrating 50 years this year (looks like we may have to party next year!). ). We also run salonprosales.com a leading reseller of storage solutions for purchase.

Why are we doing this?
The Covid19 crisis has hit our industry fast and hard, we are conscious that although there are a huge number of people used to working at home on their own systems or who are very technically minded there are also many who have had to start doing this with very little warning and may not be used to setting up edit systems or know how to deal with certain issues like errors that usually their service provider deal with therefore we have launched this free support service for the entire UK post production community.
How does it work?
Salon engineers working from home are using a selection of technologies (Ticketing system, Zoom Video and Zoho Remote Assist) and will be available online as often as possible during Business Hours (Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm) to assist anyone working from home on their own system that need technical assistance of any type.

We are also very honoured to have been approached by so many of our industry friends that have offered their help too so you may find that your question is diverted to one of them if availability is low or we feel they are better placed to answer the type of question posed.
